This role ensures that new programs are evaluated, designed, and introduced in a way that enables scalable, repeatable, and “Right‑First‑Time” production.Serving as the technical bridge between Business Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations, this role plays a critical part in converting new customer opportunities into executable manufacturing programsRESPONSIBILITIESM&A Technical Assessment: Evaluate the manufacturing capabilities, equipment readiness, and technical debt of M&A targets and incoming new business opportunities.DFM & Process Standardization: Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for new customers to ensure products are optimized for existing SMT lines and assembly processes.Capacity & Resource Planning: Define equipment needs, floor space requirements, and capacity planning to support projected new‑business volumes.Cross‑Functional Technical Leadership: Act as the technical liaison between Business Development, Supply Chain, and Operations to enable a “Right‑First‑Time” launch.Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify potential integration and material liability risks by auditing Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy early in the process.Knowledge Transfer & Enablement: Develop and deliver training programs to equip production teams with the skills needed to support new technologies and products introduced through the NBI funnel.KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY & SKILLSBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI/NBI, or manufacturing integration roles.SMT line/process knowledge (stencil, reflow, AOI, SPI basics)DFM/DFX participation with customersExperience leading DFM reviews and supporting new products or customer launches.Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority.Background in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or high‑mix/low‑volume manufacturing environments.This job description is a summary of the responsibilities associated with this role and may be amended as required by the company.We are an equal-opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.ABOUT US:East West is a global manufacturing services company focused on the realization of products, from design through distribution.
