Job SummaryAs an elementary English teacher, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to teach English as a second language, to lower elementary students at Colegio Doris Beckmann, in Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, in Mexico.La Laja, located near Zapotlanejo, is a community about 35 minutes from Guadalajara, one of Mexico’s largest and cosmopolitan cities. Jalisco is the epicenter for tequila production in the country and La Laja has a growing community that has begun to enter the tequila industry, however the main production is clothing.Job Responsibilities- Deliver lesson plans in a way that engages students and gets them excited about learning.- Set clear goals for English language and knowledge acquisition, and continuously assess academic progress.- Inform the school leader and the Board of Directors of learning progress- Merge into the school culture, and actively participate in the school’s continuous training program.Job Skills & RequirementsRequired:- 100% Fluency in English is a must- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or other areas of study compatible with Teaching- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience and a track record of mentoring kids- Ability to learn new skills and teaching methods- Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills- Excellent verbal and written English skills- Organized, capable, flexible and able to multitaskSalary & benefits- Monthly salary (gross) of $18,000 mexican pesos for full-time positions along with benefit package- Living accommodations may be arranged, cost to be assumed by the individual.- Transportation Guadalajara-La Laja may also be arranged.Contact Info**Salary**: From $18,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
