Border Security Professional Protect America's borders, safeguarding its economic prosperity and ensuring national security. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you'll be part of an elite team working tirelessly to prevent illegal entry and smuggling. Job Requirements Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws, facilitating legitimate trade and travel while preventing illicit activity. Conduct inspections, interviews, and interrogations in a law enforcement capacity, utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis. Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States, exercising sound judgment and discretion. Prevent the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods, identifying potential threats to national security. Benefits and Incentives You'll enjoy a competitive salary range of $61,111-$124,443 per year, with opportunities for overtime pay up to $45,000 annually. Location-based recruitment incentives offer 15-25% additional compensation for the first three years, with some locations offering up to 25% for four years. Qualifications and Training Meet one of the following qualifications: at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, a master's degree or higher from an accredited institution, or a combination of both. You'll undergo comprehensive training, including a two-week orientation and 101-day academy at FLETC in Glynco, GA, with Spanish training possible for certain locations. As a U.S. citizen with primary residency in the country for at least three of the last five years, you'll be well-suited for this challenging yet rewarding role.
