National Commercial Director_Mexico Savino Del Bene is a global freight forwarding company with more than 350 offices and 6,500 employees worldwide. As one of the leading logistics providers, the company offers import, export, customs brokerage, and third-party warehousing solutions across multiple vertical markets. SCOPE OF THE ROLE: The National Commercial Director leads the sales team at country level. He defines the implementation of the sales strategy for Mexico to achieve margin and turnover objectives per service, coordinates the sales team, develops sales with existing customers, and identifies new market opportunities, in accordance with the company’s strategy and guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides input to the sales strategy in the field through sales forecasts, budgeting & planning of activities, taking the business strategy into account, and respects financial objectives, guidelines and company policies. Monitors indicators to ensure revenue targets are achieved. Collaborates with the various company managers to identify the most suitable service solutions to propose to customers. Supports the commercial structure in the preparation of proposals to be sent to customers. Manages the sales team by monitoring its performance, motivating it, coaching and mentoring staff to develop skills to the highest level and identifying development wherever necessary. Monitors customer activity to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, working with internal teams for the possible resolution of problems. Retains existing customers and supports the team in increasing market coverage, acquiring new customers and looking for new opportunities. Participates in business meetings with "Key Clients" and attends complex negotiations. Promotes the use of CRM and Digital Marketing tools within the Team and towards customers. Elaborates on analysis and evaluations of sales performance and cost monitoring, and prepares the relevant reporting. Maintains fruitful relationships with customers, associations, public bodies and stakeholders and represents the company. COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of the local market, the sector and the related techniques and methods of international shipments Financial and economic knowledge Ability to define commercial plans and strategies Knowledge of contractual elements Knowledge and use of the techniques of selling services in the field of Logistics and Shipping Knowledge and use of dashboards and sales management Ability to segment the Customer package according to internal areas, roles and targets Ability to conduct analysis and reports Knowledge and use of public speaking techniques Knowledge of Spanish and English (speaking & writing) SOFT SKILLS: Results oriented Negotiation skills Planning skills Organisation Problem-solving Leadership People Management Taking initiatives REPORTING LINES & collaboration parties: Hierarchically reports to Country Director/CEO. Collaborates with Procurement, Service Operations Manager, Team Leader, Customer Service, Operations, Customs & Tax Services, Handling, Distribution, HR, Administration & Finance, Insurance-Legal-Compliance, QHSE, and ICT. Externally, it relates to customers, suppliers and representative bodies.
