This role is responsible for shaping and executing procurement strategies that support business priorities such as sustainable growth, cost efficiency, supply continuity, and operational excellence. The position plays a key role in balancing commercial objectives with risk management and cross‑functional collaboration across the value chain. This is a hybrid role based in Polanco, Mexico City, within a global organization, working closely with regional and international stakeholders. This position has high visibility within the organization and contributes directly to commercial and operational performance. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate strong ownership, strategic thinking, and leadership potential, with development opportunities into more senior procurement or broader commercial roles. - Contribute to setting objectives and priorities aligned with broader procurement agendas - Support initiatives beyond immediate category scope when required - Coach and support less experienced procurement team members to strengthen pipeline and continuity Key Responsibilities - Support the development and execution of sourcing and portfolio strategies for North America in collaboration with internal stakeholders. - Assist in the management of supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Prepare spend analyses, market insights, and recommendations to support procurement and commercial decision‑making. - Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Planning to ensure alignment and effective execution. - Contribute to initiatives focused on cost optimization, value creation, supply continuity, and sustainability. - Apply a structured sourcing and market analysis approach, including spend analysis, supplier benchmarking, and identification of alternative sources Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. - +5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category support, or commercial roles with an analytical focus. - Solid understanding of North American market dynamics, supply trends, and cost drivers. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. - Experience working in cross‑functional, regional, or global environments. - Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. - Comfortable working with sensitive, confidential information and navigating ambiguity. Preferred Profile - Exposure to strategic sourcing, category support, or supplier management activities in a complex organization. - Familiarity with agricultural or food‑related supply markets in North America. - Proactive, detail‑oriented mindset with strong follow‑through and ownership.
