Mx Acceleration Center - Core SAP ABAP Lead (Manager) About the Role: We are looking for an experienced SAP Developer Lead specializing in ABAP with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP implementations. The ideal candidate will lead a development team, driving the design, development, and delivery of robust SAP ABAP solutions that meet business needs and enhance system performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of SAP ABAP developers throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards. Oversee design, coding, testing, and deployment of ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, user exits, interfaces, and conversions. Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business users, and other stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements. Architect and develop complex custom enhancements leveraging ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, and User Exits. Manage performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging of ABAP programs to optimize system efficiency. Ensure compliance with SAP standards, guidelines, and security policies throughout development efforts. Coordinate code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the development team. Support integration activities with other SAP modules and third-party applications. Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Stay current with SAP development technologies and tools to recommend and implement best practices. Qualifications: 6 to 8 years of experience as an SAP ABAP developer with a strong track record in full-cycle SAP implementation projects. Proven leadership experience, preferably as a team lead or technical lead. Expertise in ABAP programming, including ABAP Objects, ALV reporting, BADIs, BAPIs, User Exits, enhancements, and forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms). Experience with SAP integration technologies such as IDocs, RFCs, and Web Services is a plus. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA development environment and CDS views will be advantageous. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in both agile and traditional project methodologies. SAP ABAP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
