General Objective Edenred is seeking a Technical Manager/Lead for Payments Software Development to lead the development, evolution, and operation of the cross-functional applications that support key business processes for electronic wallets (e.g., reconciliations, settlements, operational reporting, merchant management, commissions, chargebacks, transactional monitoring, operational back office, and internal tools). Ensure secure, scalable, and auditable deliverables with high quality standards and regulatory compliance, coordinating a team of 10 to 15 developers under agile practices and modern engineering. The main responsibilities of the role are: Leadership and team management - Lead and develop a team of 10–15 engineers, promoting technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability. - Define roles, priorities, growth plans, performance evaluations, and training plans. - Ensure good working practices: estimation, planning, code review, standards definition, and mentoring. - Management and mentoring of internal and external/contractors FTEs with partners. - Budget and cost management software/Cloud (FinOps) and people (FTEs, HC, contractors, SaaS, Managed Services, etc). Delivery and management of internal products - Manage the Transversal applications evolution and roadmap jointly with Product, Operations, Risk/Compliance, and business areas. - Translate operational/regulatory requirements into clear technical deliverables (user stories, acceptance criteria, NFRs). - Ensure predictable delivery: manage scope, timelines, costs, and capacity (capacity planning). Architecture, quality, and operations - Ensure service/API-oriented design, modularity, and scalability in line with transactional growth. - Implement and reinforce quality standards: test coverage, automated testing, security in the SDLC, performance, and observability. - Safeguard production stability, incident tracking, postmortems, and continuous improvement (SRE mindset). - Ensure high availability (DRP) and application performance. - Collaborate with Architecture/Platform to improve CI/CD pipelines, environments, deployments, and controls. Security and regulatory compliance - Ensure compliance with controls related to auditing, traceability, segregation of duties, access management, encryption, and handling of sensitive data. - Work closely with Security, Risk, and Compliance on regulatory requirements, evidence, and audits. Continuous improvement and innovation - Identify opportunities to automate operational processes (e.g., automatic reconciliation, alerts, workflows). - Propose improvements to the architecture and reduce technical debt with actionable plans. - Continuously measure and improve engineering metrics (DORA, defects, cycle times, availability). The profile required for the role is: Experience - 6+ years in software development, with at least 2–3 years leading teams (ideally 10+ people). - Experience in high-criticality transactional environments (fintech, banking, payments, e-commerce, telco). - Track record of delivering internal/operational products with multiple stakeholders and dependencies. Technical knowledge (aligned with the company’s stack) - .NET development or similar. - Microservices architecture / REST/GraphQL services, integration via queues/events (Kafka/RabbitMQ). - Relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, etc.), modeling and performance. - Engineering best practices: SOLID, patterns, code review, testing (unit/integration/e2e). - CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab CI/GitHub Actions), containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes desirable). - Observability: logging, metrics, and traces (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). - Security: OWASP, secrets management, encryption, access control; auditing and traceability. - Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), backlog management and metrics. Preferred - Knowledge of financial processes: reconciliation, settlement, chargebacks, commissions. - Experience with standards and regulations (depending on country): PCI DSS (if applicable), ISO 27001, SOC 2, local regulations. - Experience integrating with providers (banks, processors, networks) and managing SLAs.
