Job Description Role Purpose To design and implement transformative Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) and cloud architectures that solve complex business challenges. This role bridges high-level business requirements with deployable technical solutions, leading the technical strategy to increase Alibaba Cloud's market share and technical influence. Key Responsibilities 1. Market Insights and Competitive Analysis Deliver detailed market insight reports identifying trends, potential, and core pain points within specific segments. Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to develop differentiated strategies and architectural counter-proposals that highlight Alibaba Cloud’s unique advantages. 2. Opportunity Identification and Pre-sales Guidance Lead technical engagement with key decision-makers to uncover genuine needs through business-context communication. Conduct deep-dive analysis of customer technology landscapes to build accurate business-technology profiles and generate qualified sales opportunities. 3. Solution Design, Promotion, and Risk Management Develop tailored architectures, product selection strategies, and PoC (Proof of Concept) test plans to secure contract signings. Architect end-to-end large model and intelligent computing systems. Identify technical and project risks during implementation and collaborate with R&D and delivery teams to ensure successful revenue realization. 4. Capability Institutionalization and Product Feedback Create reusable knowledge assets, including architecture templates and industry-specific best practices. Abstract customer requirements and technical defects to drive product enhancements and new feature launches. Conduct enablement training for sales teams and ecosystem partners. 5. Strategy and Technical Leadership Lead cross-functional teams to develop sales playbooks and implementation plans. Deliver high-quality technical presentations at industry conferences and to C-suite executives (CTO/CTO-D) to influence technology selection and establish Alibaba Cloud’s technical leadership. Job requirements 1. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Over 5 years of relevant experience in pre-sales, development, or operations within the internet or software industry. Proven track record in leading mid-to-large-scale IT projects, such as cloud migrations or digital transformations, from inception to delivery. 2. Technical Architecture and AI Expertise Hands-on experience architecting full-stack intelligent computing solutions spanning model training, inference, and industry applications. Deep knowledge of functional frameworks for AI infrastructure and "7 core products." Ability to translate customer pain points into implementable technical architectures, including microservices and big data platforms. 3. Communication and Influence Demonstrated ability to deliver polished, executive-level presentations to C-suite and technical decision-makers. Skilled in authoring solution documents, architecture diagrams, and PoC plans. Ability to establish independent technical credibility and influence enterprise cloud adoption strategies. 4. Problem Solving and Competitive Benchmarking Experience in troubleshooting performance bottlenecks, compatibility issues, and cost optimization during project delivery. Maintain in-depth knowledge of 3–5 key competitors to produce accurate benchmarking and competitive risk exposure reports. 5. Project and Team Coordination Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Experience in evaluating technical feasibility and formulating risk mitigation strategies. Support internal sales enablement by delivering training on complex product functionalities and competitive comparisons.
