Mainframe Technical Lead

Required Skills and Experience: Must have 5 - 10 years of relevant experience. Core Technical Expertise: The role mandates enough years of experience in COBOL and ALGOL (desirable) programming as well as in Work Flow Language (WFL) for Unisys ClearPath MCP environments, alongside deep practical mainframe experience. System Analysis and Strategic Modernization: Responsibilities include in-depth system analysis, problem resolution for legacy applications, and contributing to strategic discussions for modernizing or re-platforming these systems. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication: The specialist is expected to work closely with various business and IT teams, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver solutions and support operational continuity. Key Responsibilities COBOL Application Management: Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex COBOL programs running on mainframe systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and adherence to business requirements. WFL Workflow Automation: Create, optimize, and manage Workflow Language (WFL) scripts for batch processing, job scheduling, and system operations within the Unisys ClearPath MCP environment.
