Growth in our digital advertising business is key to Walmart’s overall growth strategy. About the role: Walmart Connect is seeking an Analyst in Strategic Insights & Media Analytics. Reporting to a Team Lead overseeing a product category, also known as a Strategic Business Unit (SBU), you will bring the analytical rigor, responsiveness, and creativity required to support WMC’s market leading advertising measurement and insights. As an individual contributor, you will create market facing insights to help advertisers understand media performance, optimize media strategy, and generate incremental investment. The individual needs to be analytical and solution-driven with the ability to partner with the larger Strategic Insights & Media Analytics team as well as the Sales & Client Service teams to effectively communicate complex media and measurement insights internally and externally. You will play a critical role in analyzing customer behavior, measurement, and performance data across various channels. You will be responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to analyze client retail media strategy and drive value from long-term investment with Walmart Connect as a trusted strategic consultant and partner for our advertising partners. What You'll Do: - Exploratory Data Analysis: Drives the organization's reporting & data strategy, setting vision for advanced analytics, pioneering new techniques, and influencing executive decisions through data-driven insights that shape long-term business direction. - Data Automation and Quality Management: Pioneer the adoption of next-generation automation technologies and AI in business intelligence processes and establish organization- wide data quality frameworks that ensure trust in enterprise reporting systems. - Data Visualization: Sets enterprise standards for data visualization and champion data storytelling at the executive level. - Cross-functional Partnerships Drive cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, product leadership, and data engineering teams to align strategies and deliver holistic scalable service - Strategic Insight Development: Translate complex data analyses into clear and actionable insights, focusing on driving industry trends and strategic client recommendations. - Technical Innovation and Process Improvement: Foster innovation and process improvement across the team by introducing new tools, techniques, and workflows to streamline analytics and reporting processes. What You'll Bring: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Marketing, Communications, Business Analytics, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred. - Minimum of +5 years of experience in analytics, insights, or measurement. Retail Media or Advertising industries are a plus. - Ability to navigate ambiguity while operating in a fast paced, start-up type of environment. - Significant expertise in SQL, Python, and advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau,Power BI) for data analysis and reporting. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality delivery while meeting deadlines. - Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and external clients. Core Competencies: Data analysis tools(SQL, Python, R), data visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI), measurement frameworks (media mix modeling, attribution analysis, lift studies), machine learning (applying supervised & unsupervised algorithms), statistical methods(hypothesis testing, regression analysis, Bayesian inference), retail media expertise (campaign measurement, ad inventory optimization, audience targeting strategies), understanding of digital advertising ecosystems (programmatic buying, walled gardens, consumer insights Equal Opportunity Employer Walmart, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer By Choice.
