Knight aspires to be the leading Pan-American (ex-US) partner of choice, with a growing portfolio of innovative and high-quality branded products. The TL will enable this corporate ambition by contributing directly or indirectly to its strategic priorities: in-licensing and developing new products across Pan-American markets (ex-US), achieving aggressive top line growth for promoted products and maximizing bottom line contribution across portfolio, and being an organization that acquires, develops, and retains critical talent. The TL is a medical affairs employee who provides medical/scientific strategic and operational input into brand plans and activities under her/his scope, in coordination with the Brand Regional team and licensing partners. Serves as Therapeutic Area (TA) expert in providing relevant scientific and technical training to country teams. Represents the brand medical area at global/regional level in key core medical activities, such as healthcare providers (HCP) interactions; generation of clinical and scientific data; educational initiatives. Provides scientific and technical support for assigned products; delivers scientific presentations; develops and maintains professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders and professional societies; provides therapeutic expertise in interactions with regulators and other external groups; develops innovative research concepts for clinical data generation and communication. Role Responsibilities: - Develop the medical global strategy - Maintain a deep expertise on the brand and the competition, acting as subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders - Develop the global scientific communication, data generation & publication plan - Be the resource person for managing special global projects and critical situations - Coordinate the activities for international conferences - Attend required key conferences on the assigned TAs - Lead cross-medical region meetings to share new scientific evidence / insights - Develop medical materials such as medical slide decks, Q&A, objection handling, etc. - Train and remain up to date on the topics pertinent to the field as well as competitors. - Participate to the brand plan process, business reviews and quarterly financial exercise - Own and ensure compliance with global/regional medical budget - Lead cross-country medical initiatives such as multi-country registry. - Build and deliver product training for medical & commercial teams - Collect scientific insights from all the regions, populate and share reports on regular basis · Build advisory board framework to be deployed locally - Develop and assist in the assembly of cross-country scientific medical learning events and preceptorship programs - Follow Knight standards including to report adverse event and special situation to Pharmacovigilance, to follow the applicable SOPs, regulations, policies, and code of conduct, to participate in audits and inspections Critical Interfaces: - Co-create with Marketing Global Lead the brand integrated global plans - Establish strong partnership and attend meetings with licensing partners - Foster communication and collaboration with the other regions - Develop relationships with international and regional experts - Provide scientific support to other areas (business development, regulatory, market access) - Support medical information to address complex questions. - Work cross-functionally with Global Business Development, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Medical information, Market Access, and Commercial departments to achieve business strategic imperatives Decision Rights: Occasional and minimal guidance, employee follows established work methods. - Job Qualifications Experience: - Required · >5 year of experience in pharma industry in positions with proven strategic orientation (TL, medical / scientific manager, brand lead) · The candidate must have participated in medical plans and/or brand plans creation, business reviews, led presentations to senior management, ideally with cross-country/regional/global scope. - Desirable · Experience in pharma industry in the same positions plus MSL, medical advisor, CRA · Knowledge of market access, regulatory, commercial, and clinical context related to pharma industry, research methodology and good clinical practices · Proven leadership by influence, without formal authority or direct reports. · Desirable experience in launching products and/or indications. - Education, Licenses, and Certifications: Required · Health Science University Degree Desirable · Advanced scientific degree (MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD) · Clinical and research experience in the assigned TA
