Music, Drama & Film Teacher

A bilingual school in Mexico City is seeking a Performing Arts Teacher for the upcoming school year (August 2026). Requirements Bachelor’s degree in music , drama , or a related field. Preferred: PGCE, IB experience, and knowledge of Google for Education. Advanced English level (C1–C2 ). Previous experience in a similar teaching position. Teaching experience at the secondary school level. What will your responsibilities be in this role? • Plan lessons and learning continuums aligned with IB and SEP programs. • Teach performing arts classes in English (dance, drama, music) in accordance with IB policies. • Deliver constructivist, student‑centered lessons that promote the IB Learner Profile and apply effective classroom management and Intelligent Discipline strategies. • Communicate promptly with students—and when necessary with parents or tutors—regarding performance, behavior, or achievements. • Prepare evaluation instruments (initial, partial, final), exam materials, and provide catch-up or remediation sessions in a timely manner. • Lead tutoring sessions that support students’ academic and socio‑emotional wellbeing. • Co‑organize internal school festivals. • Collaborate in school events, duty supervision, tutoring, weekly training, and provide coverage for absent teachers.
