Role Description We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager based in Mexico City to grow our business across local retailers and Duty Free / Travel Retail accounts . In this role, you will manage key relationships, execute sales strategies, and ensure our brands have a strong presence and performance throughout Mexico. The ideal candidate knows the Mexican retail landscape , has proven experience with both duty-free and local accounts, and is skilled at turning opportunities into tangible results. Bilingual Spanish and English fluency is required. Qualifications 5+ years of sales experience in consumer goods, beauty, fragrance, luxury, or fashion Proven experience managing Mexican local market retailers (department stores, specialty stores, and chains) Strong experience with Duty Free / Travel Retail accounts Established network within the Mexican retail and travel retail ecosystem is a plus Ability to manage distributors and complex account structures Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven Bilingual Spanish and English fluency required ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and execute the annual sales plan for Mexican local market retail chains and independent accounts, as well as duty-free accounts. Build and strengthen relationships with retailers, distributors, and Duty-Free operators (airports, border stores, and travel retail partners) Achieve sales targets, margin goals, and distribution objectives Lead negotiations on commercial terms, promotions, and in-store visibility Drive sell-out through effective promotions, product launches, and in-store activations Monitor inventory, forecasts, and replenishment to maintain healthy stock levels Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity, and provide actionable recommendations Ensure brand standards and merchandising guidelines are applied consistently Travel within Mexico to support accounts, store visits, and key meetings Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Solid understanding of sell-in/sell-out dynamics Ability to manage multiple priorities independently Benefits: - Individual Health insurance - Paid vacation - Paid national holidays - 1-week flexible PTO’s - Work hours: 9am-5pm and some weekends if needed - $100 monthly product allowance - End-of-year Bonus opportunity Schedule: Monday to Friday some weekends if needed Ability to commute: Reliable Transportation (Required) Salary : 80K to 100K—commensurate with skill set and relevant experience level
