Optical Transport Specialist

Transport Network Engineer We are seeking an experienced Transport Network Engineer to lead critical troubleshooting efforts, drive network performance optimization, and support engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead the resolution of complex network outages and impairments Develop and implement advanced methodologies for recurring issues Conduct forensic analysis of network events to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DWDM equipment Skill Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications or equivalent experience Significant experience in telecommunications or network operations environments At least 1-3 year of previous NOC experience is required Strong experience and knowledge of DWDM technologies and optical transport systems Familiarity with network protocols and optical transmission principles In-depth knowledge of Layer 1 technologies and network management systems Proven leadership in high-pressure situations NOC Support Equipment Experience: Infinera Ciena: RLS, Corestream, 4200, Core Director, 6500, 5200, OC48 Classic, OC192 Classic Fujitsu: 4500, 4300, 4100, 7420 Cyan: Z77, Z33 Cisco: 15454, MSTP Nokia: DMX, 1830 Ciena: One Control, MCP, Preside Cyan: CyMS (Blueplanet) Fujitsu: Netsmart 1500 Alcatel Lucent: Wavestar, INC (DMX), PHM (1830) Infinera: DNA Metasolv / M6 Oracle Assure 1 Salesforce xMatters
