The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. Partners with the site leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning. Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; Manages the internal recruiting process, partners with the talent acquisition team, and collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for site openings. Supervise all payroll functions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Collaborates with plant HR and legal team on contract negotiations and grievances. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and legal counsel when necessary to address complex labor issues.Bachelor's degree in human resources. 7+ years of Human Resources management experience within a unionized environment ~ Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies ~ Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees ~ Proficiency in using Microsoft software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint ~ Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
