Continuous Improvement Manager

Position:The Manager of Continuous Improvement will engage, coach, problem solve and lead teams to improve front-end processes, manufacturing processes, advance technologies and implement capital equipment to execute customer-focused improvements across global sites. They will design, facilitate, and deploy the use of visual management and hold accountability to properly use daily management (SQDCI) within the teams. The incumbent will lead in the development and implementation of the Columbus McKinnon Business System (CMBS).Location:Monterrey, MXEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Drive Columbus McKinnon Strategic Deployment actions across the group, through engagement and leadership, break through mapping, performance monitoring, data-driven problem solving and sustainability. Lead continuous improvement across the business by executing and sustaining compliance to the Columbus McKinnon Business System Ensure adherence and execution of SQDCI daily management and coach employees to action and problem solve abnormalities. Direct responsibility for all continuous improvement activities including Daily Management, Kaizen, 5S and Visual Management, VSM, TPM, SMED, RCCM, and footprint strategies. Evaluate needs for manufacturing technology and facility equipment enhancement and justify as well as execute capital improvement projects. Plant co-champion for New Product Introduction Plan, promote and organize training activities related to CI tools, product quality and reliability. Other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:Proven ability to drive results as well as drive better efficiencies by improving and sustaining. Experience coaching/mentoring; desire to develop skills in this area. Proven experience in change management and demonstrated ability to challenge an organization. Highly effective relationship management skills: strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with all functions. Data-driven with strong analytic skills Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including the ability to identify creative and effective solutions and the ability to ask the right questions and help frame logical conclusions. Effective communicator within environments ranging from shop floor kaizen teams to operations leadership stakeholder groups, to business group staff, and senior leadership. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree 5+ years of experience in lean deployment and or implementation
