Junior EHS Engineer

Job Summary The Jr EHS Engineer will inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. The main goal of this position is to protect the employees, customers, and the company environment. This position will also identify potentially hazardous biological, chemical, and radiological materials and collect samples of them for analysis. Other important Jr EHS responsibilities include recommending equipment upgrades or changes in the facility to protect workers, educate and guide employees on how to prevent health problems and prevent accidents through the use of safety training programs, and will also investigate accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future. Work summary Implement planned shopfloor EHS audit, inspection, and improvement activities, supervise, and guide the EHS work of the plant . According to the relevant laws and regulations of the national and local governments and the relevant requirements of the company's KOS , timely handle various EHS accidents and incidents of the company, so as to create a safe, healthy and comfortable working environment for employees, and continuously improve the company's safety, health and environment. management level. Main tasks and responsibilities Supporting the company to promote safety, environment, occupational health, security and fire prevention activities; including the update of local company EHS KOS procedures and documents according to corporate EHS KOS procedure on a regular basis. Support EHS Manage of Change Assessment, containing equipment, facility, chemical and layout according to corporate procedure. Support the EHS program according to corporate procedure, containing Hazard Identification, LOTO, Machine Guarding, Logistic Safety, Electric Safety, Fall Protection, Confined Space, etc; Ensuring the effective communication of emergency management related information and documentation; Organizing Company ERT exercise and training to enhance emergency response capacity, including extreme weather, fire, combustible gas, chemical leakage, environment incident, etc; Protect our customers, employees and environment by preventing accidents, making sure that the safety guidelines are clear and fully followed, always considering the legal and governmental aspects. Conducting the EHS training to enhance the staff awareness and practice on emergency response, chemical management, EHS new orientation, etc.; Support new building construction or remodeling project by supervising suppliers and contractors to assure the compliance of safety requirements from KEIPER. Propose sustainability work, team up with other departments to implement new ideas for low carbon operation projects and reach government /KEIPER/ customer ‘s requirement. Supervise and bring new ideas in our energy saving projects regarding to the facility aspect. Trouble shooting for power supply /fire system/compressor/sewage water treatment equipment Other work arranged by direct leader Qualification Education： Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial, environment, occupational health, occupational safety or similar. Trainings or Licenses for performing activities as person responsible for OHS, Environment and Fire Protection system. Work experience： 2+ years facility and maintenance experience working with compressors / central air conditionings / power supply and firefighting system. 2+ years of relevant work experience in EHS Knowledge： Basic knowledge about sustainability and experience of building & construction. Knowledge and experience of contractor management (project safety management etc.) Strong hands-on analytical and troubleshooting skills for facility and maintenance related to power supplying/extinguisher and firefighting system.) Understand safety standardization system, and basic ISO14001 and ISO45001 (if possible) Good written English and basic verbal English communication skill
