Job Opportunity: Payroll Operations Manager We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the payroll operations for our organization: Ensures all voluntary and involuntary deductions are taken and accounted for throughout the payroll life cycle; including benefits, savings funds, garnishments, pension plans, special government programs, etc. Determines and controls other payroll benefits such as food coupons, grocery coupons, car allowances, etc. Calculates and initiates monthly payroll state tax payments for each legal entity. Appropriately withholds federal income taxes, social security, retirement (SAR), and government housing program (INFONAVIT) contributions. Determines and initiates monthly payroll withholdings. Resolves discrepancies or issues with government offices. Responsible for SOX controls within the payroll organization and participates in internal and external audits. Responds to and manages payroll-related inquiries, serving as the primary point of contact for payroll and interacting with key stakeholders and partners. Oversees daily activities, provides guidance on tasks and deliverables, and mentors team members to promote growth and learning opportunities. Holds regular one-on-one sessions with direct reports to ensure alignment with leadership expectations and organizational goals. Provides customer support for issues that arise and develops a plan for problem resolution and mitigation. Recommends, develops, and implements changes to processes, procedures, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in Mexican payroll operations. Manages third-party providers to ensure compliance with requirements, laws, and service expectations for benefits like food coupons, grocery coupons, and gas aid. The ideal candidate will possess: A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in payroll, preferably with the TRESS platform, with 3-4 years of supervisory/leadership responsibilities. Excellent verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact with global teams and present information clearly and effectively. Workday experience is a plus but not required. Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong process improvement skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision. A customer-focused, results-driven leader with an emphasis on quality, detail, and accuracy. Ability to drive results and customer service improvements through KPIs, metrics, and benchmarking measurements. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to develop and deliver effective training to payroll staff.
