Location: District 211 Administration Center Date Available: ASAP Closing Date: 04/02/2026 Description:12-Month- Tier 4 Benefits and Insurance Specialist Qualifications: Demonstrate evidence of technical aptitude for computer systems, including Tyler Technologies' iVisions system Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, including the ability to compile and analyze data and generate reports Demonstrate good interpersonal relations and communication skills Demonstrate good organizational skills Demonstrate good judgment, trustworthiness, flexibility, self-motivation and confidentiality Demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple benefit and insurance program processes and maintain accurate records Job Responsibilities: Process and maintain current records of the district's insurance programs, including but not limited to employee insurance programs, liability insurance programs and workers' compensation insurance programs Compile, maintain, and organize employee benefits data and census information used for insurance renewals, reporting and program administration Assist in coordinating and administering the district's annual open enrollment process, including preparation of enrollment materials, processing elections, and maintaining related records Process and maintain records for the district's wellness program Assist employees and retirees regarding insurance enrollment, benefit issues, claims and problems Assist with special projects related to employee benefit and insurance programs, including data preparation, reporting, and program analysis Assist in processing bills and compiling budget figures related to insurance and other functions pertaining to the Director of Insurance and Group Benefits office Create and process correspondence, forms, reports, schedules, budgets, calendars, and other documents pertaining to the Director of Insurance and Group Benefits office Maintain confidential employee benefit information and insurance documentation in accordance with district procedures Coordinate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and district departments regarding benefits information and program administration Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Insurance and Group Benefits Working Conditions:Is under the supervision of the Director of Insurance and Group Benefits Terms of Employment:12-month. Tier 4.
