About the JobA Japanese producer and seller of manufacturing equipment (machines and machine parts used in manufacturing) is looking for aSales Representativefor their office in Monterrey, Mexico.The successful applicant will be responsible for providing existing services and developing new services for the current client base. He/she will also be responsible for handling and expanding sales activities to acquire new customers and to expand business activities. For this role, knowledge about the industry and the local market, as well as the ability to research valid information and opportunities, are needed.Tasks Provide sales activities and after-sales service to existing clients (regular visits onsite at the clients' location to follow up and check for new business opportunities) Assess clients’ needs, create/edit machine drawings (blueprints) based on needed specs for required machine parts New client acquisition (Japanese as well as Mexican, US, and international companies) (-> arrange onsite visits to introduce services, build client relationships, and gain business opportunities) Networking activities to expand current market activates Market research to find new business opportunities Cooperate with onsite team member to achieve set targets In-office operations (creating presentations, proposals, quotations etc.) Reporting to HQ in Japan in weekly meetingRequired Skills / ExperienceMust-haves: 1-5 years B2B Sales experience (ideally in manufacturing industry) Experience in business development and market research in Mexico Strong communication skills Proactive approach to client engagement, including regular on-site visits to both existing and potential new clients Driving License Office 365 Skills (Excel) English: Fluent or high business-level Spanish: Fluent or high business-levelPreferred: Understanding of manufacturing industry and supply chains Manufacturing experience/background Technical understanding to consult with clients' engineering teams(able to read and edit machine blueprints to determine and adjust needed features of machinery parts) Experience with machinery equipment makers and/or makers for dies and molds Experience working in a Japanese company or in working closely with Japanese businesses and clientsAdditional Information Location: Monterey, Mexico Starting Date: as soon as possible Contract type: Regular Full-time employee Working hours: Mo-Fr 8:00 to 17:00 (lunch break: 13:00 to 14:00) - (once a week evening meeting with Japan HQ (compensated via work time adjustment)) Monthly income: MXN 20,000 - 30,000 (depending on skills and experience) Health Insurance / Pension / Social Security Work laptop / mobile phone will be provided
