Overview:This role is responsible for the legal counseling and support of the consumer credit and operations areas. As a**Corporate Lawyer** you will work in the drawing and negotiation of diverse contracts (drafting, correction & release). In addition you will be in charge of the development and, given the case, deployment of special projects of high legal impact for Mexico.**Location: Monterrey, M.X.****Responsibilities**:- Review, negotiation and establishment of general agreements, including provision of services, revolving and fixed term loans, with and without guarantees & confidentiality agreements.- Follow up and implementation of the regulation applicable to SOFOM, E.R.- Provide legal advice to diverse areas in the company such as Customer Service, Collections, Sales & Insurance, Compliance, Consumer Credit, Leasing, Procurement and related.- Follow up and legal response for requirements issued by Authorities, such as CNBV, CONDUSEF, REPUVE, BANXICO, etc.- Review and modify legal documents written in English, and communicate effectively (negotiate) in English.- This role is responsible for planning and organizing its workload related items, such as response time, pending items & diverse projects that could be assigned in the area.- As part of this role's daily interactions, it is expected for the sucessfull candiddate to follow-up actititvies with diverse areas and levels of the organization.Qualifications:- Bachelor degree in Law (Master’s is a plus)- At least +2 years of working experience within a legal corporate deparment (Financial/Automotive background is a plus, previous law firm experience is also a plus).- Fluent English skills (both verbal & written).- Knowledge of the current commerce legislation in force and basic understanding of financial legislation.- Addressing legal consultations in scope of the Mexican Law.- Basic financial literacy.- Experience dealing with ambiguity.- Quality decision making.- Proficient negotiation skills.- Efficiency in tasks and project management.- Ability to build new relationships.- Planning and OrganizationLI-MONDisclaimer: Mexico - GM Financial is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to diversity and inclusion at every level of our organization.
