Homeroom Teacher

**Credentials**- English speaker - fluent level- Holds a valid teaching qualification for Primary education recognised by the SEP- Has at least two years of relevant work experience**Skills**- Likes working with young people and adults- Excellent communication and social skills- Well organised- Likes to take on board new ideas- Can work independently, as well as able to work in a team- Adaptable- Sense of humour and the ability to keep things in perspective- Up-to-date teaching methodologies**Role Description**- Providing excellent quality teaching in English, maths, science and other curriculum areas, catering for the needs of all students in the class.- Challenging and inspiring children to help them deepen their knowledge, skills and understanding across the curriculum.- Facilitating learning through strong relationships with all students.- Maintaining high expectations at all times with relation to behaviour, classroom organisation, displays and uniform.- Working in a team for collaborative planning to achieve the best outcomes for all students.- Participating fully in Circle Around the Child Meetings, School Events and Parent Meetings.- Developing medium and short-term plans in line with curriculum objectives.- Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the curriculum- Completing the training required by the school - including technology, online teaching software and methodologies.- Regularly marking work and giving timely feedback to facilitate positive academic development.- Being an example for children and adults to follow.**Schedule**7:30am to 2:30 pm Monday to Friday with one staff meeting until 3:30 pm each week.**Salary**: $15,000.00 - $18,000.00 per month**Education**:- Bachelor's (preferred)**Experience**:- educational: 2 years (preferred)**Language**:- English (preferred)Work Location: In person
