Job Overview: The Casino Cashier is a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by efficiently managing cash and financial transactions within the casino environment. Responsibilities: Accepts and exchanges currency, coins, chips, checks, credit, and other monetary notes for guests enjoying the casino facilities. Utilizes strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests in a considerate, professional, and positive manner, actively listening to their needs and concerns. Effectively communicates with guests, department heads, and colleagues to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions. Counts and verifies coins and paper currency quickly and accurately. Operates coin counters, chip mechanisms, 10-key adding machines, and related equipment to streamline cash handling processes. Performs basic arithmetic calculations regarding counting chips, cash, coins, and prepares reconciliation reports to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Possesses working knowledge of computers, internet access, and navigating various software packages such as Excel and Word. High school diploma or equivalent education preferred. Demonstrates ability to count coins and paper currency in US dollars quickly and accurately.
