About Us We are a fast-growing, sport-inspired fashion brand that blends style, performance and cultural relevance. Through targeted partnerships with leading retailers, we deliver high-impact headwear and apparel collections. As we scale in Mexico, we need an inspirational Head of Wholesale to accelerate growth, deepen client relationships and develop a high-performing team. Position Summary Based in Mexico City, the Head of Wholesale owns the end-to-end commercial agenda for the Mexican market: revenue, profit, people and process. You will set strategy, grow existing accounts, unlock new revenue streams, and—critically—coach and develop a 14-person sales organization (4 direct reports). Success requires a hunter’s mentality for business development, a builder’s mindset for talent development, and an operator’s discipline for flawless execution. Key Responsibilities 1. Commercial Strategy & Business Development Expand wallet share: Identify white-space opportunities, upsell new categories, and drive cross-sell programs inside current key accounts. Prospect & pitch: Source and secure new wholesale partners that align with brand positioning and margin goals. Annual & seasonal planning: Build data-driven sales plans, assortment strategies and door-level targets that deliver sustainable, profitable growth. Joint business plans: Co-create three-year growth roadmaps with top customers, linking assortment, marketing activations and door expansion. 2. People Leadership & Development Inspire & engage: Lead, coach and mentor 4 direct reports (Sales Managers, KAMs) and an extended field team of 10, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous learning. Talent pipeline: Create individual development plans, conduct quarterly career conversations and champion internal promotions. Performance management: Set clear KPIs, run weekly forecast reviews, give real-time feedback and celebrate wins. Capability building: Deliver regular training on negotiation, solution selling, data analysis and retail math to elevate team expertise. 3. Account Management & Growth Own the full P&L for national key accounts; negotiate terms, margins, door count and marketing spend. Secure premium brand execution—sell-in assortments, negotiate in-store real estate, and brief visual and marketing teams on POS, activations and shop-in-shops. Conduct monthly business reviews, using sell-in / sell-out analytics to recommend actions that improve turns and margin. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as commercial lead on go-to-market squads with Marketing, Product, Demand Planning, Logistics and Customer Service. Provide market and consumer feedback to inform future product line plans and pricing. Partner with Supply Chain and 3PL providers to ensure reliable OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) delivery. 5. Operational Excellence & Reporting Hit or exceed quarterly and annual revenue, margin and cash-collection targets. Monitor sell-in, sell-through, inventory health, market share and credit exposure, implementing corrective actions when needed. Champion process improvements and digital tools (CRM, BI dashboards, ERP) that increase speed and accuracy. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing or related field; MBA or relevant master’s preferred. 7–10 years’ progressive commercial experience in sports fashion, footwear or lifestyle consumer goods. Proven track record of growing key accounts and opening new business in a wholesale environment. At least five years leading multi-level sales teams, with demonstrable success in coaching, succession planning and cultural leadership. Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written); comfortable presenting to C-suite executives. Skills & Competencies Strategic thinker who translates vision into actionable plans. Hunter mentality with consultative selling skills and strong negotiation acumen. Data-driven decision maker; advanced Excel / BI skills and working knowledge of ERP (SAP). Inspirational communicator who builds trust and drives cross-functional alignment. High degree of resilience, agility and entrepreneurial spirit. Travel Requirements Up to 40 % domestic and occasional international travel for client meetings, market visits and trade events.
