About the Job The Strategic Sourcing Analyst for Technology role will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process for all technology-related categories, including software, hardware, cloud services, and professional services. This role involves conducting detailed market analysis, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the technology landscape. Responsibilities Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate potential technology suppliers. Analyze market trends, pricing models, and industry best practices to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies. Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors. Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs). Conduct regular business reviews with strategic suppliers. Sourcing and Procurement: Lead the request for proposal (RFP), request for quotation (RFQ), and request for information (RFI) processes. Analyze supplier proposals and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with technology suppliers in collaboration with the legal and finance departments. Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track sourcing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, engineering, and finance teams, to understand their technology needs and requirements. Provide guidance and support on procurement processes and policies. Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or a similar role, with a focus on technology categories. Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software. Strong data analysis skills and experience with data visualization tools. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with CLM tools, ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk), and project management tools is a plus. Key Competencies: Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. In-depth knowledge of technology sourcing and procurement best practices. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative and team-oriented mindset. Fast-learner, ability to work with minimal supervision, and detail oriented. Work Duration and Schedule Start Date: September 1, 2025 End Date: August 31, 2026 Location: Remote (Must be based in Mexico; preference for Mexico City) Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week); must be available to work in Pacific or Central Time. Additional Information Compensation: Mex$65-80K/Month This is a contractor position and does not include benefits. Candidates must have a reliable internet connection, as the role involves frequent video conferencing.
