Commercial Legal Intern

British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Legal Intern in Monterrey Your key responsibilities will include. Manage commercial legal documentation, ensuring all commercial documentation is properly made, easily accessible, and kept up to date.Assist with reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, under supervision, across areas such as procurement, marketing, sales, and logistics.Support compliance by ensuring contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.Work closely with different business teams, helping to bridge communication between Legal and departments such as Marketing, Procurement, and Sales.Help identify ways to simplify and improve legal processes, aiming to reduce risk and increase efficiency.Monitor legal and industry developments, helping the legal team stay up to date and supporting risk assessments.Support the preparation of legal documents and presentations, including summary reports, guidance notes, and internal training materials.Attend business meetings and be involved on commercial legal matters, helping track action points and legal follow-ups.Contribute to internal legal initiatives, such as global trainings, contract templates, checklists, and best practice guides. Open to candidates graduating in June of 2026 or later.Be student of Law.Strong analytical, research and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic business environmentUnderstanding of contract law, corporate governance, and company secretarialProactive and willing to have continuous development Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and be able to work with tight deadlinesExperience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, DocuSign (desirable)Fluent English: written and speaking. (Advanced, is a must)
