Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and responsible intern to join our growing organization. This person will play an integral role in assisting in building the profile of our company through editorial efforts, events and social media outreach. In this role, you will develop new and exciting narratives, engage with clients, build strategic relationships and partnerships.You will thrive in this position if you have a friendly, outgoing personality, are self-motivated, organized and a self-starter and enjoy a challenge and a fast-paced environment!Typical Duties:Assists CM’s with day to day tasks including creating topic sets, question setsAssists in collecting headshots and illustrative photos and logs them to the driveWorks along sales team on launch conference RSVPsInvites CAA clients and contracts (over the phone and email) to CAA events, reaching goals setAssists with final book reads before publications go to printAssist SE’s with final book closing tasks (interview history, zoho tabs, etc.)Assist CM’s with the production of Chapter BriefsProvides editorial support for launch conferences (writing press releases, contacting media to attend, social media prior and during the event)Key Requirements/Qualifications:Minimum of 0-3 years’ experience in journalism or an editorial roleWell-planned and organizedStrong copy editing and writing skillsCommand of English mandatoryRequires excellent interpersonal and phone skills, attention to detail, project coordination experience, strong computer and Internet research skills, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staffProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Google Drive, CRM programs like ZohoExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task, organize and prioritize workPlease keep in mind that as a fast-growing, cutting-edge media company, we look for innovation in everything we do.
