Data Scientist

We are looking for a results-driven Data Scientist to join our Data Insights & Analytics Lab. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and data storytelling to uncover insights that drive strategic decisions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems and deliver measurable impact. In this role you will:Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms.Build intuitive dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making.Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions.Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across projects.Communicate findings clearly through compelling visualizations and presentations.JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.3+ years of experience for mid-level rolesProficiency in programming Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and querying.Experience in machine learning, with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, including model evaluation and tuning.Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar frameworks.Ability to create compelling visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Python libraries like matplotlib, seaborn, or Plotly.Strong foundation in statistics analysis, including hypothesis testing, regression, and experimental design.Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and tools like Databricks, Snowflake, or Spark.Familiarity with Git, Jupyter Notebooks, and collaborative development workflows.Understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and ethical AI practices.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable insights.Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through storytelling and visualization.Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and engaging with business stakeholders to understand data needs.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and business challenges.Experience with Generative AI applications or tools.Exposure to MLOps practices and deploying models into production environments.Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, CAP, Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate) are a plus.BENEFITS: Medical and Life insurance15 days PTO per year 70% PTO premium 1-month Christmas bonus Pantry vouchers Performance bonus Gym discounts Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
