Wiring Harness DRE

DRE Platform integration (PI)The Power and Signal Distribution (PASD) PI Release Engineer will be responsible for the design and release of wiring harness assemblies and related components. The Engineer will coordinate drawing creation in both 2D Capital XC and 3D CAD release in Teamcenter (NX) and validation of released components in the vehicle and component environments. The engineer will support vehicle manufacturing/supplier facilities for entire life cycle, manage plant design issues along with change requests from both the plant and suppliers. The engineer will manage large amounts of data/changes that must be incorporated into the current/future designs.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university3 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience5 years of engineering experienceExcellent communication skills that include writing, creation and presentation of management level high quality presentation materials and reportsProficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and WordPreferred Qualifications:Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited universityTraining in DFMEA DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processesWorking knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)Working knowledge of CAD systems (Capital XC)Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities along with knowledge of wiring manufacturing facilityFamiliarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applicationsWeb publishing and familiarity with SharePoint data management environments
