Our goal is to offer unmatched candidate experience while working with renowned luxury hotels.Our client, a luxury hotel in Lanai, is looking for a Director of Landscaping, who will provide supervision and direction for all landscaping functions for the resort. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, the Director of Landscaping will be passionate about insuring the healthful care and culture of all plants, flowers and grounds/lawns throughout both resorts, and will work closely with the Florist to insure interior plants and flowers are also maintained.Responsibilities:Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to a team of 45 landscapers, including planning, scheduling, and assigning all landscaping activities. Collaborates closely with Resort leadership to align landscaping priorities with the overall guest experience.Oversees all aspects of grounds maintenance, including seeding, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, spraying, and transplanting a wide variety of plants, shrubs, and trees. Ensures proper documentation of field conditions and supervises the use and maintenance of landscaping tools and equipment.Manages departmental budgeting, including profit and loss oversight. Completes purchase orders, procures necessary materials and equipment, and ensures their availability and optimal condition to maintain the highest quality landscape environment.ProfileLandscaping leadership experience in a large-scale resort area plus significant understanding of horticulture challenges on an island terrain.Applicants should be a Licensed horticulturalist.Applicants should have experience as a landscape contractor.Due to visa restrictions, at the moment we are only accepting candidates from Mexico and Canada. The limitation to Mexican and Canadian nationals is a legal requirement tied to the specifics of the TN visa, not a preference of the employer.BenefitsSalary range: $130,000-$140,000 annually.Medical coverage.Complimentary accommodation at the resort.Meals on duty and laundered uniform.
