Sales Consultant – ACS International ACS International, Ltd. (ACSI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Chemical Society. Employees represent products and services provided by ACS divisions, including ACS Publications and CAS (SciFinder® and STN®) to the world’s most important scientific companies, government organizations, global patent offices and academic institutions to promote research and discovery.ACS International is currently seeking a Sales Consultant based in Mexico. Position Accountabilities:User Enablement: Guide CAS product users and customers through onboarding, training, and support to ensure they realize the full value of CAS solutionsTailored Solutions: Assess customer insights and match them with the most relevant CAS products and services.Customer Engagement & Growth: Strengthen relationships by delivering exceptional service, identifying expansion opportunities, and driving cross-selling and upselling strategies.Comprehensive Account Management: Oversee a portfolio of CAS offerings to ensure seamless customer interactions and long-term satisfaction.Strategic Relationship Building: Establish connections with key decision-makers while fostering strong networks across various levels of client organizations.Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify new opportunities, educate potential clients, and convert prospects into active customers.Revenue Growth & Market Expansion: Develop, advance, and close sales opportunities through proactive outreach—including client visits, calls, emails, and presentations—with an added focus on life sciences and services.Academic Business Development: Organize and support training sessions, events, and educational forums to strengthen CAS’s presence in the scientific community.Training & Educational Initiatives: Design and deliver instructional materials tailored to customer needs, integrating technical content and industry-specific examples.Targeted Marketing & Awareness: Enhance CAS visibility by implementing strategic engagement initiatives, ensuring customers are informed about CAS services.CRM & Sales Optimization: Leverage CRM systems to document interactions, manage leads, and refine sales strategies for improved efficiency.Additional Consulting Services: Provide further assistance as requested and agreed upon with CAS to support business objectives.Position Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or life sciences.Experience: Background in consultative sales, business development, and strategic account management.Technical Expertise: Familiarity with scientific information, intellectual property, and IT solution services (preferred).Core Skills: Strong negotiation, prospecting, consultative selling, active listening, and presentation abilities.Communication: Proficient in English and Spanish with excellent interpersonal skills.To apply for this consulting position, please submit your cover letter and CV to careers@
