Position Summary Manage all departmental functions and ensure an adequate working environment for all employees; effectively oversee the recruitment and selection process; ensure that employees receive training and development to continuously improve their performance; manage employee compensation and salary structures in accordance with market standards and the company’s financial conditions. Provide advice and control to support best practices in human resource management at all levels of the organization; ensure that legal aspects related to labor contracts are handled consistently and within legal guidelines; ensure company policies are followed by all staff. Key Responsibilities HR Department Activities Management Ensure and participate in meeting departmental project goals and objectives (turnover, absenteeism, punctuality, internal and external audits, etc.). Provide support and active involvement with other departments to achieve plant, regional, and corporate objectives. Compensation and Benefits System Administration Develop compensation and benefits administration schemes for all levels, implement policies and regulations for performance evaluations and salary increases; maintain market salary benchmarks; develop benefits programs aligned with company goals. Recruitment and Selection Process Management Ensure timely and appropriate hiring to match job profiles across departments. Ensure that all requisitions are properly authorized and well-prepared. Training and Development Management Maintain systems to manage employee training and development at all levels; implement training plans based on company needs. Employee Services Management Implement and maintain safety policies and regulations to ensure risk-free working conditions by preventing unsafe conditions and actions. Administración de Servicios a Empleados Ensure the proper functioning of employee services including transportation, cafeteria, cleaning, and plant protection to maintain high satisfaction and reduce turnover and absenteeism. Support Plant Committees Participate in and lead various committees and subcommittees on prevention, environmental improvement, health, safety, cafeteria, etc. Core Employee Activities Plan and coordinate events and activities aimed at fostering integration and improving the workplace climate among employees. Labor Legal Protection Responsible for managing employee contract terminations and executing dismissals in accordance with the Federal Labor Law and company policies; represent the company before the labor board when necessary. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Training: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Laws: LFT, IMSS Regulations: STPS, Environmental (SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, SIUE, IMSS) Lean Manufacturing (philosophy and tools) ISO 9001:2008 Compensation and Salary Systems Skills: Recruitment and selection techniques Teamwork Project Management Leadership Conflict Resolution Working under pressure Negotiation Staff management Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field 5 años of experience in Recruitment, selection, organizational development, career, and life plans 5 años of experience as an HR Supervisor 7 años of experience in Labor Relations Management Performance Characteristics Knowledge of manufacturing systems, personnel selection techniques Must be able to resolve potential problems before they escalate Capable of implementing both cultural and continuous improvement changes in the organization Ability to manage and execute cost-reduction projects at the managerial level Strong verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels Provide guidance and control through strong participative leadership across all departments involving people-related processes Willingness to travel Proficiency in English Degree of Autonomy Recommends or proposes new procedures and policies for the department and plant. Supervisory Responsibility Plans and directs departmental work. Responsible for group performance. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors This is a primarily office-based position (about 70% of the time) with 30% involving movement throughout the plant facilities. Excellent physical and mental health; able to work under pressure and occasional high stress Normal hearing and vision conditions.
