This role is within Chamberlain Group's Global Manufacturing Operations PMO team. A successful candidate is expected to (i) independently lead one or more large or platform programs, manage globally distributed teams, and (ii) act as Team Lead for assigned projects by building cross-functional teams, conducting meetings, establishing deliverables and accountability, communicating progress and results to all stakeholders, and ensuring that all key aspects of the program, from design through production launch, stay on track to meet objectives. Requires a minimum of ten (10) years; at least fourteen (14) years without a degree but with relevant job experience, or a minimum of a bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree in a directly relevant field may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience. PMP Certification is strongly preferred or a commitment to obtain it within one (1) year of hire or promotion. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is also strongly preferred, or a commitment to achieve it within eighteen (18) months of hire or promotion. Manage one or more large or platform programs independently, lead teams across the globe Act as the Team Lead for assigned programs by building a cross-functional team, conducting meetings, establishing deliverables and accountability, communicating progress and results to all stakeholders, and ensuring that all key elements of the program, from design to production launch, stay on track to meet objectives Provide leadership on measures, impact assessments, removal of roadblocks, conflicts, and scope change decisions Prepare and deliver executive-level communications and/or presentations on project reviews, assessments, process improvements, etc., to various audiences Mentor Project Managers and Program Managers Deliver project management and process training to all Operations staff worldwide Lead process improvement initiatives to foster the growth and development of best practices and processes Ensure compliance with New Product Development and business process standards for programs Report program status, issues, and metrics to the Business Unit Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree: an advanced degree in directly applicable area of study may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience; PMP Certification; Six Sigma Green Belt certification strongly preferred; or commitment to obtain certification within eighteen (18) months of date of hire or promotion Experience: 10+ years of experience in managing multiple projects with prior experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent leadership skills Strong computer skills (especially MS Project or similar software) Strong knowledge of Windchill Working knowledge of SAP Proven ability to create detailed project plans and use resources efficiently Ability to gather complex data and diagnose the cause of a problem Advanced English proficiency
