Sourcing Strategist This role is within the Operations and Supply Chain group. A successful incumbent is expected to develop, maintain and execute sourcing strategies by assisting leadership in building strong relationships with preferred suppliers and ensuring company compliance to policies. Support decision-making and alignment on new product development projects or sourcing issues, presenting options, risk scenarios and recommendations to the team. Manage new product development and productivity project roadmaps for assigned categories; identify cost-reduction opportunities. Assess supplier requirements, core competencies and capacities to make recommendations to leadership. Create and update provisions of supplier contractual agreements in alignment with sourcing initiatives while working with cross-functional departments. Execute appropriate mitigation plans based upon industry trade publications, trends and other reports. Work with Supplier Quality Engineering to ensure supplier quality improvement plans are undertaken and results reported when quality slips below a predetermined threshold. Monitor supplier scorecard by measuring key performance indicators and resolving issues to get the supplier back on track. Protect the organization's reputation by keeping information confidential. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed. Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams. Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience. Skills and Abilities: Material Requirements Planning or Enterprise Resource Planning. Other Able to travel up to 10% - domestically and internationally.
