Strategic Procurement Lead

Procurement Team Leader Role Summary This is a key leadership position within our organization's procurement team, responsible for the daily activities of the procurement team and overseeing the implementation of procurement philosophies and techniques to meet internal and external customer needs. Key Responsibilities Search, develop, and retain talent for procurement roles in Mexico. Develop and communicate strategic plans to support business objectives. Manage MRBR resolutions and collaborate with Accounts Payable on invoice discrepancies. Distribute resources to achieve objectives. Communicate vision, mission, and business goals. Provide training and feedback to team members. Schedule expedited raw materials and services for manufacturing plants. Participate in Simple Problem Solving (SPS) and Kaizen events with plants and training on raw material initiatives. Monitor performance indicators and metrics, reporting status to the Procurement Tactical Manager. Investigate and implement corrective actions as needed. Lead special projects related to Vendor Master, automation, and Purchase Order (PO) departure. Motivate team members to improve individual and team contributions. Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with superiors, colleagues, and subordinates. Support system development and provide mediation between IT, Accounts Payable, and Procurement. Apply lean standard work and management systems to eliminate waste. Offer training assistance to internal departments to correct inconsistencies and develop capability programs. Expedite raw materials by working with AP, plant manufacturing, procurement, and other relevant teams. Support teammates from Apria, Byram, OMD, and Halyard on procurement-related topics. Review and process Onboarding requests from teammates and follow up until completion. Resolve issues holding payment for gas, electricity, and water invoices from distribution centers. Support scheduling at distribution centers for indirect materials and services.
