Associate Manager, Test Delivery This role is responsible for overseeing all testing activities within a specific product line. The Associate Manager, Test Delivery plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality test outcomes. The position involves leading a cross-functional team of Test Engineers, SDETs, and Automation Engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement, embracing shift-left testing principles, and driving test automation to increase efficiency and reduce time-to-market. Serve as the single point of accountability for all test deliveries within the assigned product line. Manage and lead a cross-functional test team, including Test Engineers, SDETs, and Automation Engineers. Promote shift-left testing by collaborating with the software development team and embedding quality early in the product development cycle. Coach and mentor team members to enhance technical and professional growth. Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage team activities, planning, and execution. Define and track key testing metrics, including traceability, test execution progress, automation coverage, and field defect analysis. Ensure consistent application of organizational testing processes, standards, and best practices by the team. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and testing best practices across the team. Identify opportunities for increased test efficiency through automation and process optimization. Ensure timely and high-quality test deliverables across all projects within the product line. Responsible for the day-to-day management of on time, on budget, and quality functional project execution. Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining team members. Drive performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring, and evaluating performance, providing feedback, and facilitating employee development. Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to the team through regular meetings, email, IM, and interpersonal communications. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics. An advanced degree may substitute for up to two (2) years of job-related experience. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is strongly recommended. Experience: 7+ years of job-related experience. Experience with shift-left testing strategies and working in DevOps/CI-CD environments. Proven experience in defining and implementing test automation strategy. Experience managing test traceability, defect lifecycle, and field feedback loops. Basic electronics knowledge, including microprocessors, motor control, timers, counters, serial communications, memory devices, radios, etc. Key Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and lifecycle. Deep knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and tools. Coding experience in Java, Phyton, C++. Familiarity with organizational testing frameworks and strong focus on process compliance and continuous improvement. Effective leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities. Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to balance quality with delivery timelines in a fast-paced development environment. Ability to create functional schedules and accurately estimate task completion time. Ability to solve complex problems, recognize gaps in process, and recommend holistic solutions. Ability to train technical staff in functional area on functional subjects, process, and tools. Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
