Customs Compliance Manager

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations and laws. This includes legally representing and holding power of attorney on behalf of our organization to conduct all customs licensed brokerage business. You will also manage and update customs tariff schedules for all imports and exports in all customs systems. Your expertise in customs compliance will enable us to navigate complex trade agreements and ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities: Legally represent and hold power of attorney on behalf of the organization to conduct all customs licensed brokerage business Manage and update customs tariff schedules for all imports and exports in all customs systems Supervise the customs clearance process for imports, exports, and red-lighted cargo Ensure new and updated customs rules and regulations are understood and communicated through the customs group Supervise crossdocking functions in the U.S. to ensure timely receipt and processing of materials Procure import customs permits for special commodities and raw materials from various government entities Update customs systems as communicated by customs authorities to ensure continued compliance Maintain good working relationships with customs agencies Train customs team members across all roles to ensure coverage of tasks and duties Prepare and submit reports to relevant government agencies Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need: Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, international business, supply chain management, or a related field Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an analyst role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment or customs-related field Supervisory experience Skills and Abilities: Intermediate MS-Office skills Strong analytical skills Knowledge of US/MX customs compliance Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package, including: A valid driver's license Proficient English language skills (written and spoken)
