Duties of Financial Analyst: Closing Process Specialist

Job Title: Financial Analyst Description: This role is within a Finance function. A successful incumbent is expected to perform closing processes and tasks with a moderate degree of complexity and autonomy, ensuring all balances are accurate and properly reconciled to underlying data. They will also calculate and create journal entries, entering them into the general ledger accurately and timely. Perform corporate closing processes and tasks with a moderate degree of complexity and autonomy, assisting with company-wide consolidation. Calculate and create journal entries and accruals, entering them into the general ledger accurately and timely. Participate in the monthly trial balance review process to ensure completeness of the general ledger. Prepare accounts reconciliations accurately and timely, maintaining assigned accounts to ensure clearing of settled transactions. Prepare local, federal, and state taxes for Mexico. Maintain monthly task checklists to ensure that all tasks are completed on time. Serve as a primary point of contact to manage local debit/credit and cash processes. Support accounting and tax filing needs for Latin American entities. Prepare annual reporting packages, schedules, and supporting documentation to support the annual financial statement audit for Mexico. Assist with front-line support for general SAP-related questions and testing new SAP functionality. Work closely with the Tax team to ensure books and records are accurate for tax-related matters. Protect the organization's reputation by keeping information confidential. Qualifications: Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree Experience: 5+ year of relevant work experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Significant knowledge of large-scale ERP platforms; understanding of Mexican and US GAAP Preferred Qualifications: Education/Certifications: Master's in Accounting or MBA, CPA (Licensed or Registered) Experience: Public Accounting Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: SAP, Business Planning & Consolidation Other: Bilingual, English and Spanish
