Sourcing Specialist

**Description**Molex LLC has an opening for a Sourcing Specialist position to support cable assembly manufacturing in Nogales, MX. As part of our Cable Assembly Segment team, this role will report to Division Sourcing/NPD Manager, Lisle USA. In Sourcing position, one will be responsible for managing local supplier relationships and procurement. The individual must be self-directed, work with a high sense of urgency and possess the ability to solve problems and collaborate with others to meet the needs of Operations. You will be responsible for Sourcing, executing sourcing events, developing BOM cost models and regular reports to management. You will serve as the sourcing single point of contact for the New product development teams supporting the sourcing activities of all BOM line items. During the project execution you will work with category management and SBM teams to execute sourcing and supplier strategies. As the project gets closer to launch, you will work with Division sourcing & Plants for a smooth mass production ramp-up & hand-over.**What You Will Do in Your Role**:**Key Responsibilities**:- Driving value creation through transformation, innovation, and process improvement- Working with internal customers to identify and address unmet needs that align with procurement and business goals to deliver long-term value; demonstrate a high degree of Customer Focus and an ability to effectively influence others- Partner with Molex Design teams throughout Product Development process to manage BOM cost through Product Launch- Assist in implementing new sourcing/inventory strategies as a result of Accelerated Sourcing Transformation- Proactive supply risk management in the new product development process- Ability to lead and effectively manage change and transformational initiatives- Effective use of verbal and written communication to provide resolution and status updates to customers and suppliers.- Utilize critical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and execute on opportunities to streamline processes and achieve the lowest total cost of ownership on projects.- Foster internal and external relationships to collaborate with cross-functional teams at the facility.- Working with requestors to understand requirements, specifications, and timing, conducting competitive bidding process, including soliciting RFIs/RFPs and robust bid analysis & recommendations- Issues requests for quotations, analyzes and evaluates quotes, negotiates price and terms, and exercises independent judgment to select suppliers based on lowest total cost of ownership.- New product supplier identification, sourcing, selection and contracting- Manages own time to accomplish goals and prioritize a variety of tasks.**The Experience You Will Bring****Requirements**:- Professional Degree- At least 3 years of sourcing experience for a cable assembly manufacturer- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Experience using data analytics tools**What Will Put You Ahead**- 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry- 1+ years’ experience in New Product Development Sourcing- Experience negotiating with local, regional, or national contracts
