Lab Technician

We have an opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Pentair–Manitowoc team. You will be responsible for performance and reliability testing of ice makers, bins, and subsystems and components used in ice makers and bins. The role follows AHRI, ASHRAE, CE, and UL testing standards, prepares test units and test fixtures, and completes testing per test request instructions. ⸻ Responsibilities: Operate and run laboratory test rooms at the Monterrey facility. Prepare units for performance testing and release them into Test Rooms #1, #2, and the ARTL room. Perform performance and reliability testing of ice makers. Follow AHRI, ASHRAE, CE, and UL agency standards for testing. Prepare test units and test fixtures and complete testing per test request instructions. Perform refrigerant charging and system evacuation. Use laboratory instrumentation, including thermocouples, pressure gauges, and electrical meters. Operate a controlled environmental chamber. ⸻ Requirements: Technical degree or engineering studies (completed or in progress) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, or a related technical field. More than 3 years of experience in a similar position. Intermediate English is a plus. Previous experience in a laboratory testing environment or industrial testing facility. Experience performing performance and reliability testing on refrigeration equipment. Hands-on experience with: Refrigerant charging Preparing units for performance testing Experience with ice makers, ice bins, or refrigeration systems (preferred). Brazing of refrigeration systems. Additional technical certifications in HVAC or refrigeration are a plus. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow technical procedures and testing standards.
