IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY Manage and exercise discretion over the daily operations of the organization's essential and Continuous Improvement function for North America. Responsible for Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering Responsible for creating and reviewing standards, creating capacity analysis, Working in coordination with Managers to improve productivity throughout the plant. Supervise the implementation of LEAN manufacturing tools. In coordination with the Production Manager, establish and implement plant expansion requirements. Coordinate the development of designs and keep them updated Ensures continuous improvement in processes, costs, quality and production. Responsible for operational excellence through efficient plant design. Design the distribution of areas and equipment. Compliance with specific customer requirements. Process Engineering Continuously analyze the manufacturing process to determine areas with opportunities for improvement. Responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment. Coordinate and manage new projects for capital investment, human resources and requirements for new equipment or additional tools to support operational or replacement requirements. Ensure that PPAPs, test runs, engineering changes are carried out based on dates and responsibilities marked in PCP, review results and take necessary corrective actions, as well as manage resources (labor, equipment, tooling) to necessary runs according to PCP. Link between different plant areas, for continuous improvement through Engineering studies and IATF 16949 requirements Keep the General Manager informed about a department problem. Supervise Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial, Product and Plant Engineering. Participate and comply with the requirements of the IATF 16949 quality management system and the ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 environmental management system corresponding to their position. Prepare evidence of compliance and support audits. Responsible for understanding and meeting specific requirements set by clients with Zero Defects in sight. Authority: Stop/cancel any process that does not comply with the requirements established by the organization and/or the quality or environmental/safety management systems already mentioned. Participate in compliance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System based on the review meetings of Senior Management for continuous improvement of this system and inform and follow up with subordinates for compliance. Process Focus: Manage with a process approach to achieve objectives. It involves understanding, defining and managing processes with a focus on PDCA and Prevention. Risk Planning and Analysis: Use Risk-based thinking with your team and functions. It involves identification of risks, analysis of causes and consequences, evaluation of the level of risk and treatment, Documenting the above as evidence for its control. (Applicable for IATF 16949, ISO14001, ISO 45001) Life cycle perspective: ensure the identification of environmental aspects through their areas of responsibility, considering all the inputs and outputs of each process. Preparation of evidence of compliance with indicators for review by management, as well as corrective actions in case the results of the review by management require it, as well as monitoring and compliance with corrective actions. Ensure the development of the staff in charge. Process Focus: Manage with a process approach to achieve objectives. It involves understanding, defining, and managing processes with a focus on PDCA and Prevention. Utilizes Risk-Based Thinking with your team and functions. It involves risk identification, analysis of causes and consequences, assessment of the level of risk, and treatment, and documenting the above as evidence for your control. Life Cycle Perspective: Ensure the identification of the environmental aspect within its scope, considering the inputs and outputs of the process. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or Engineering level. Minimum of 7 years of experience in Industrial, Process & Manufacturing Engineering Experience in the Automotive Industry in a managerial position. Solid experience in plant start-ups, transfer projects, NPI, Business acumen COMPETENCIES Delivery of Results: o Understand your team's mission and results to establish SMART goals and achieve them.
