Senior Mold Process Specialist

Job Overview The lead process engineer for molding plays a vital role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of manufacturing processes. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and safety, to optimize factory operations and meet customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement process improvements for injection, compression, and transfer molding applications. Support new product launches from concept development through launch and production. Drive initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap rates, and improve overall equipment effectiveness. Work with design engineering, tooling, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with automotive standards. Troubleshoot complex molding issues, including tooling wear, flow imbalance, flash, short shots, and dimensional defects. To succeed in this role, you will need: Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in molding process engineering within the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with automation systems, robotics, and auxiliary molding equipment. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
