Mission: As a PRODUCT ENGINEER MANAGER you are responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to the design and/or development of product concepts, components, or assemblies. The Lead Product Engineer will be responsible for all technical information for the assigned project scope. The Lead product Engineer is the Senior technical contact between customer engineering and Grupo Antolin. As product eng. Area manager you must provide oversight of other product engineers assigned to the department following up their technical activities and their own professional development. Responsibilities: Create and maintain an accurate GA eBOM throughout the program Create and maintain an engineering open issues document that is updated weekly through PDT meetings. Complete all P-06 defined deliverables directed to product engineering in a timely fashion (based on phase/gate timelines) Record of lessons learned of previous projects and design guidelines Product-process design input data Project standards list (used for development phase) Technical sheet (Overheads) Nomenclatures/BOM/Complexity matrix (eBOM) List of special features (Critical Characteristics) Reference point system (RPS) Tolerances analysis Stack-up Tolerances analysis Feasibility analysis Functional analysis (Function map) Design FMEA Documents related to productive materials RFPs Project products Delivery notes for prototypes Corrective actions report in case of non approval of prototypes by Customer Validation of product design Packaging sheet (finished and semifinished product) Productive materials technical specifications Documents related to packaging RFPs (if neccesary) Documents required to the packaging Supplier in the specifications Documents related to productive materials RFPs (if needed). Organized in subfolders per Supplier. Pdf file with IMDS references accepted by the Customer Manage prototype builds including material procurement, logistics, build labor, packaging, delivery. Manage supplier understanding of requirements and delivery of prototype and production materials for preproduction builds. Support key tooling events as required (first off, appearance approval, grain approvals, dimensional analysis) in support of PPAP and Launch. Manage product issue resolution with customer involvement for all phases of the program. Includes GA engineering change management. Support customer engineering change management processes. Provide design criteria to design activity as appropriate. Provide leadership to other engineering staff assigned to the projects What we are looking for: A bachelor’s degree in engineering. 10 or more years of Product Engineering experience required. Experience in managing teams Familiarity with databases, data analysis tools and data management systems. Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and represent Antolin to the customer. Ability to analyze data and turn it into useful information for decision-making. Ability to lead group presentations and discussions. Specific knowledge in DFMEA, PFMEA, GD&T, Statistical Problem Solving, Customer specific issue resolution (AIMS, PRTS, etc) English: conversational What can we offer you: You will be part of a highly engaged multinational with international career opportunities.
