Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Materials Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end materials management activities for a high-volume Just-In-Time (JIT) automotive manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Materials, Logistics, Planning, and Warehouse functions to support JIT delivery to automotive OEMs and Tier 1 customers. Develop and implement robust material planning strategies that ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing inventory levels. Oversee customer scheduling and EDI releases, coordinating production requirements with production planning and purchasing. Drive on-time delivery (OTD), inventory accuracy, and material availability through efficient processes and systems. Ensure timely and accurate supplier scheduling, expediting, and follow-up to prevent production shortages. Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation and logistics, managing 3PL providers to meet performance and cost targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing) to support launch activities and ECN changes. Implement and sustain lean material flow systems, including kanban, milk runs, pull systems, and supermarket strategies. Manage and coach a team of materials and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lead inventory control and cycle counting programs to ensure accuracy and proper valuation. Monitor key KPIs such as inventory turns, freight cost, delivery performance, and supplier responsiveness. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. 8+ years of experience in materials/logistics management roles within automotive manufacturing, preferably in JIT / Tier 1 environments. Proven experience in high-volume, fast-paced operations with direct exposure to OEM customer requirements. Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, ideally SAP or Oracle. Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, inventory optimization, and logistics best practices. Excellent leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
