Maintenance Manager

The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently. This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis in order to highlight areas for improvement. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple projects at once. Responsibilities Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximising planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering +5 years supervisory experience with heavy machinery, production lines or related fields Strong critical thinking and organizational skills Ability to identify and solve inefficiencies in processes Strong ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues in industrial machinery and infrastructure. Experience in asset lifecycle management, failure analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM). Deep understanding of OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA, CE, and other industry safety regulations to ensure compliance in maintenance activities.
