Job Title: Outside Sales Representative Department: Sales Reports to: Director of Sales FLSA Status: Exempt Travel: Travel requirement up to 50% Job Summary The Outside Sales Representative role is responsible for generating and qualifying leads, setting meetings, and closing business with new prospects while nurturing existing accounts to identify expansion and retention opportunities. The ideal candidate for this role exhibits persistence, resilience, and a hunter mentality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls and email outreach to generate new sales opportunities. · Conduct B2B prospecting initiatives to generate new sales opportunities · Research and identify potential leads through LinkedIn, web tools, and CRM data. · Qualify prospects, uncover needs, and pitch appropriate solutions to decision-makers. · Schedule and conduct virtual sales presentations and product demos. · Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce. · Meet or exceed weekly activity metrics and monthly/quarterly revenue goals. · Maintain relationships with a portfolio of smaller accounts to ensure continued satisfaction and retention. · Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer base. · Act as the point of contact for customer inquiries, minor support needs, or escalations. · Track account health and proactively engage accounts at risk of churn. · Conduct account management review processes and governance (e.g., inventory management /stocking programs, accounts receivable status, and products produced and available for shipment). · Provide weekly updates of new projects (i.e., a pipeline management update). · Participate in pipeline review meetings with sales team. · Secure business via long-term contracts or supply agreements, where possible. · Host calls/meetings across all internal functions (on behalf of new/existing customers). · Communicate custom projects to sales and engineering teams. · Complete RFQ form(s) as required to quote customers on new opportunities. · Complete & submit weekly sales and opportunity reports. · Complete & submit monthly expense reports in a timely fashion. · All other duties as assigned. Education Requirements/Work Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent sales experience of 2 to 5 years, preferably in a cold calling and/or B2B environment. · Manufacturing industry experience preferred. · Bi-lingual, English and Spanish, is required. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint – and proficient with CRM software ( preferred). Additionally, should have knowledge of order processing systems and database software administration.
