!!Pay Ranges are for (MXN) currency!!SUMMARYThe Safety Manager at Megawatt Construction is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe work environment on data center construction sites. This role involves developing safety policies, conducting inspections, providing training, and fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance. The Safety Manager collaborates with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to maintain a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSafety Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, programs, and procedures for data center construction sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.Site Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide timely feedback to site managers and workers to address safety concerns.Training and Education: Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for construction personnel, emphasizing best practices and compliance with safety regulations. Ensure all workers understand and adhere to safety protocols.Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of incidents and report them to the appropriate authorities.Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation. Stay updated on industry safety standards and best practices.Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate safety into project planning and execution. Communicate regularly with all stakeholders to provide updates on safety performance and initiatives.POSITION REQUIREMENTSExperience: Minimum of 5 years in a construction safety role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position overseeing safety programs for large-scale data center or similar critical infrastructure projects.Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety certification is preferred. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification required; OSHA 500 course certification preferred.Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction codes, and industry best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Travel: Ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation: Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry, with at least 3 years focused on data center fit-out projects.
