The position will be responsible for providing technical expertise, consultation and project support. Provide direction consistent with the laboratory program, planning, budgeting and system documentation. This position will be responsible of the Microbiology Lab personnel facilitation, training and development, as well as ensuring the routine laboratory activities are completed to successfully support production requirements.**What You’ll Do**- Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one's own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.- Accountable for Laboratory personnel safety, quality and on-time delivery.- Support lab staff in understanding company policies and practices.- Communicate with and listen to lab staff on a daily basis regarding work team performance, strategic initiatives, policy changes, safety, quality, etc.- Ensure adherence to all ISO and FDA quality regulations.- Develop and maintain quality management policies and procedures in compliance with external/internal audits.- Take notice of process related problems and support lab personnel.- Design, supervise and conduct laboratory experiments, testing of raw materials and provide support to the manufacturing site in the areas of Microbiology testing and review.- Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe work habits.- Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one's own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.- Assist Manager in creating continuous improvement techniques, tools, and strategies for future improvements.- Assist Manager to establish department goals and objectives.- Ensure that laboratory equipment of validation and implementation of test methods for laboratory equipment.- Coordinate and manage external vendor equipment qualifications including provision of necessary protocols, reports and approval.- Ensure correct documentation on Laboratory testing. Maintain all required laboratory records. Re-evaluate and upgrade laboratory procedures.- Ensure training materials are updated accordingly and appropriate personnel are trained.- Review laboratory documentation for accuracy in accordance to the appropriate standards.- Write and review reports, protocols, specifications, procedures, project schedules, CO’s, DDA’s, NCMR’s, CEA’s and other pertinent documentation.- Halt production or quarantine product when circumstances dictate that product integrity may be compromised.- Provide work direction and/or project management to technicians.- Cross-Facility Support in testing, supplier sharing, resource sharing, advanced equipment troubleshooting, procedures and instructions.- Provides Facility Microbiological Support- Record review of routine microbiological test results- Routine release of manufactured product- Technical support for facility issues in the areas of sterilization, environmental monitoring, and microbiological methods.- Handles routine out of specification test results, or more complex out of specification issues.- Data analysis of sterilization processes.- Participate in audits of sterilization, test lab, and biological product vendors.- Ensures correct documentation linkage flow for microbiologically related documents.- Writes new or updates current microbiologically related documents.- Maintains understanding of applicable standards and applies them to qualifications and test methods.- Writes protocols and reports for qualifications for sterilization and microbiological test methods.- Writes appropriate validation protocols; performs or oversees validations for new tec
