Job Description: ">The position of Sales Director in Transportation is responsible for securing new business opportunities within and beyond Mexico, focusing on the Laredo border crossing. This role involves developing strong customer relationships, selling logistics solutions, and identifying new business opportunities. Key duties include establishing the company as a credible partner, collaborating with departments to create customized pricing and service solutions, and negotiating contracts. Additionally, this role requires organizing start-up calls and regular check-ins with customers, maintaining solid relationships with top companies, and ensuring accurate rate publications. ">Key Responsibilities: ">">Identify new customers shipping into or out of Mexico and establish the company as a trustworthy business partner. ">Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities to ensure revenue and volume growth. ">Collaborate with other departments to develop pricing and service solutions that meet customer needs while achieving company goals. ">Negotiate pricing, including contract renewals and spot quotes, and stay up-to-date on market trends. ">Organize and lead start-up calls and regular check-ins with customers. ">Establish and maintain solid relationships with key clients. ">Ensure accurate and timely rate publications. ">Act as a customer advocate to facilitate resolution of issues related to billing, service, capacity, credit, claims, etc. ">Optimize traffic mix within the territory to balance between committed customer freight and broker traffic. "> ">Qualifications & Skills: ">This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving techniques, adaptability, in-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, and the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of successful sales experience in logistics and transportation, a proven track record in cold calling, setting appointments, presenting, and meeting with potential customers, pricing, proposals, and closing deals. A strong network of potential clients within the logistics industry is also essential. ">Requirements: ">">Proven sales experience in logistics and transportation. ">Strong network of potential clients within the logistics industry. ">Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision. ">Excellent command of the English language. "> ">Education & Experience: ">">Bachelor's degree in marketing, logistics, international business, or similar.
