Freight Forwarding Specialist

As we continue expanding our global operations, we are looking for an experienced Ocean & Air Import/Export Specialist to join our Cancun team and contribute to delivering high-quality logistics solutions to our clients. Position: Ocean & Air Import/Export Specialist Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle ocean (FCL/LCL) and air import/export shipments , ensuring accurate and timely delivery. Coordinate cargo bookings and monitor shipments from origin to destination. Prepare, review, and validate shipping documentation, including: Bills of Lading (B/L) Air Waybills (AWB) Packing Lists Certificates of Origin Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements , working closely with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance processes. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and international agents, providing proactive communication and operational updates. Review freight invoices, resolve discrepancies, and support cost control and optimization initiatives . Collaborate with internal operations teams and external partners to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction. Requirements Experience & Knowledge 5–8 years of experience in freight forwarding or international logistics operations . Strong understanding of: Ocean and air freight processes Carrier and vendor management Incoterms and international trade practices Skills Highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple shipments. Experience with freight management or transportation systems is an advantage. Languages Fluent in English and Spanish .
